This months 'Special' is a 'BUILDING OF THE FLAG' presentation by the the "Hero's of 76" (in Revolutionary War uniforms), a sub - group of the 'National Sojourners' ( former military veterans that are Masons) - the presentation is 40 - 45 minutes long.

The Park Board of The Masonic Family Park near Granite Falls, WA is now accepting applications for a husband wife team to manage the 245 acre Masonic Park.   This private non-profit park has over 50 great campsites and many camping shelters. Position requirements:

ü  The husband must be a Master Mason in good standing in our Masonic Fraternity.                                                            

ü  The couple must relocate to a caretaker residence at the park, and reside there year round.

ü  The ideal candidate team will have excellent & proven people management and PR skills. 

ü  Basic knowledge of mechanical and technical areas with regard to maintaining utilities, roads and equipment would be a definite plus. 

ü  The team must be skilled in managing basic book keeping and cash control in a neat, accurate fashion.

ü   The couple shall not have dependants residing with them (due to limited housing provided).

ü  Computer skills and a working knowledge of current popular software programs are a must.

ü  The management couple must actively and creatively participate in  park sponsored social programs and fraternal events that take place within the park.

Compensation/Benefits:

ü  Caretaker Cottage -  A  modern spacious doublewide residence is provided with utilities.

ü  A modest salary is provided,  but the ideal couple will be recently retired with Medicare, Social Security and/or other retirement income for a  more comfortable existence while being employed by the park.

ü  Clean, wholesome, quiet environment providing  majestic mountain and forest surroundings in the north Cascades.  Many National Forrest attractions are nearby.

ü  The park is four miles from Granite Falls, with all the benefits of local conveniences, while more extensive services are within an easy commute to Everett, WA.  

General Facts:

ü  This park is a Masonic treasure (no, sorry no musty caves).  Here we put a definite "Best Foot Forward" when viewed by Masons from other jurisdictions and new local brothers.

ü  The manager team, and two on-site caretaker couples work with an all volunteer seven member Park Board with oversight from four officers from the Master Masons Club of Island and Snohomish counties.  This club, comprised of hundreds of Master Masons, is the official land owner of the park.

ü  This park needs new ideas, visionary management, and dedicated leadership support.

Duties will include all types of activities commensurate with operating this type of semi-rustic camping facility including grounds maintenance, attending the gate, cleaning, light plumbing, and elementary electrical work.  Computer skills and a basic knowledge of accounting principles would be a plus.
